KB212: Missing Visual WebGui References

SYMPTOMS

When you use Visual WebGui Dll in your project, you may receive the following "Missing Referance" error message when you build your solution.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because all Visual webGui Assemblies and Dll are found in the GAC. Therefore you could not reference them or debug them in your project.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, follow these steps:
  1. Donwload and
  2. Add Reference according to the following list:
    • Gizmox.WebGUI.Client.dll (in the open source directory)
    • Gizmox.WebGUI.Forms.Design.dll (in the open source directory)
    • Gizmox.WebGUI.Forms.dll (in the open source directory)
    • Gizmox.WebGUI.Server.dll (in  the assemblies directory)
    • Gizmox.WebGUI.Common.Design.dll (in  the assemblies directory)
    • Gizmox.WebGUI.Common.dll (in  the assemblies directory)

Gizmox has confirmed that this is a bug in the Gizmox products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
