This sample application shows how to export a Crystal Report as a PDF and deliver it to the user via a gateway and bypass the crystal report viewer.

The sample includes a dynamic parameter entry screen which also shows how to manage report parameters.

The sample application is written in
MS Visual Studio 2003 using VWG v6.1.3 for .Net Framework 1.1 and Business Objects XI (.net 1.1) using unmanaged reports on the Report Application Server.

Updating for later versions of BOIX should be very straight forward.

The sample requires that the Crystal Reports Server and database logon setup be entered in the web.config but you should consider a more secure way of storing that information.

If you don't already have Crystal Reports Server, you can get Crystal Reports Server XI Release 2 from here: http://www.businessobjects.com/forms/default.asp?id=701300000000yxE
This version of CRS would require you to convert this application's project file to MS Visual Studio 2005.

Before running the attached project you would need to add to the GAC or the bin folder of the project, the Crystal Reports .NET DLLs that you get with Business Objects XI, according to the predefined project references.

Enjoy...
