I am currently developing a system using Visual WebGUI and C# as the programming language.

The problem is that I could not find any existing captcha's for Visual WebGUI. I had two options:

1. Use the AspControlBoxBasecontrol to embed an existing ASP page onto my Form/Page.


2. To develop a Visual WebGUI control.

As a real techie, for various reasons (mainly because I thought it would be tough and a challenge), I opted for option 2.

Migrating a codeproject code which was created for WinForms and provides ActionList as in Delphi. For those of you who are not familiar with the concept, it lets you define an action an bind to that action and set properties and then attach an "action control" (button, toolbarbutton, menuitem, etc.) to this action.

Microsoft UIP2 -  MVC Application Block provides a best practice for UI components(View) and the Data Model separation. The attached code snippet contains slight adjustments of UIP2 toVisual WebGui.

These 2 projects demonstrate passing parameters to and retrieving parameters from a VisualWebGui application running in a Modal Dialog. This is achieved using a WGAdapter.

The WGAdapter is a primarily client side component that launches a VWG application from another application, in this case, a simple ASP.NET app called Gizmox.WebGUI.Adapters.AspNet.Testing. The adapter is created in the ASP.NET application, which opens the Modal Dialog and launches the VWG application, in this case, Gizmox.WebGUI.Adapters.AspNet.Testing.Site.

This modification of the popular Vista theme is most similar to the Vista/Office 2007 "Black" theme.

The Black theme works well with an Outlook-like VWG application.

This code snipet includes framwork module for integrating VWG application with DNN site, and a sample VWG application a DNN module.
