First application - blank!

I tried my first WebGui application. A very simple form with one text box and one static label. It does not display anything. IE gives me the following error.

Hello Richard,

Welcome to the Forums.

As this is your first application I am assuming you havent had a previous Visual WebGUI version installed before. If you have please make sure you follow the cache clearing:-

If you have a "with sources" installation please check you have all the correct references added.

Thanks for this Jay, I followed this instruction to clear the cache, but I am still getting exactly the same problem.

I am running in XP Pro, SP3, using IE 8.

I don't have a 'with souces' installation.

VS info as follows:

Microsoft Visual Studio 2008
Version 9.0.21022.8 RTM
Microsoft .NET Framework
Version 3.5 SP1

Installed Edition: Professional

Visual WebGui Projects Version 6.3
Visual WebGui Projects
Version 6.3

Also please note I have VS 2005 installed as well as 2008, and Net Framework 2 as well as 3.5. Is this likely to cause a problem?

Hi Richard,

Having both VS2005 and VS2008 does not cause a problem as long as you have different SDK versions for each

Use 2.0 for VS2005 and 3.5 for VS2008

I am puzzled why your VS Info show 2 versions of 6.3 installed

I think you should uninstall, clean the cache and try again

Hello Mr. Smith,

Please download this test application here and open it in your Visual Studio 2008.
Do not make any changes to the application and just run it without debugging - Ctrl + F5.

If you still get a blank screen, please reply in this post with the details.
If not, I guess there is something wrong with the specific application you ran.
