I've read some of the literature on the site, and it is impressive. I've been a developer for 20 odd years, starting as a maintenance mainframe programmer, transitioning through client server apps and relational databases, with a long stint as in QA (manual and automated) as well as a DB developer (Access and SQL Server) - I find myself with a web development project. Mmmmm. Tasty.
I like what I see here because it is geared for the business community as opposed to a lot of the web technologies that are for play. The idea of using a VB6 approach to creating web apps is great. Not every business app should be on the web, but there are some. It does evoke the mainframe, because deployment to workstations is eliminated.
That said, are there any unbiased 3rd party reviews or articles about the VWG approach compared to the others such as MS-VS Express, ASP.NET, or the like? Any performance comparisions in real-life conditions? Learning curve comparisons?
Any references or personal opinions are welcome.
