Second, regarding the wrapper. There have been some major fixes in all the latest Visual WebGui versions, targeting some problem we found when testing wrapped controls user did send in as applications. The same is true for 6.3.14, so before we take this further, I would suggest that you upgrade to 6.3.14 and then you need to rewrap the control in that version. Please make sure you rewrap it so you will get all the latest fixes in the wrapper.

If you still have problems, then please build an application demonstrating how you use it or want to use it, clean the project, zip it and email it to the support email address (see my signature) along with a full reference to this thread. Again, if you do, please create a new thread first and then include a full reference of that thread in the email message. Please also post on the thread when you are done sending so we know when to look.

I upgraded to 6.3.14, started over and rewrapped the grid, and I have the same behaviors.  Updated samples have been e-mailed to support.

Thanks,

Drew

Re: Poll - wrapped 3rd party controls

Hi Drew,

I don't see any email from you in the support mailbox, so I must ask you to resent. You should first right click your project and perform a Clean, which will remove all the DLLs from the project's bin folder. It will in most cases also remove the wrapped control's DLLs which are necessary to wrap and use it, so make sure they are included, even on a seperate folder. Then you should zip the project and finally change the extension from .zip to .xip and email.  Make sure you email to the correct email address which is in my signature below.

Regarding the new forum thread creation problem, please email your username and password to the same support email address and I will take a look and see what can be done.

Re: Poll - wrapped 3rd party controls

Hi Drew,

This time we received both copies, so we've got what we need to start checking. We'll attend to this at the first available time and get back to you. We'll also check the forum problem.

Re: Poll - wrapped 3rd party controls

Hi Drew,

Your forum account should be working for adding new threads now.

This is a DNN bug and remarkably enough, then what is needed is to go to "My settings" in the forums and then to Tracking settings, expand every group except the top one (aggregate) and check all the subsections or subforums, save and then uncheck them all again. I did that for your account and it seems to be working now. Might have to logout and log back in if your are currently logged in.

Hope it works for you now,

Palli
