Firstly, sorry about that first post of this thread - I was very tired and irritable that day, nothing went right for me. After I posted it I got thinking and realised it was very possible that the bug may have only became apparent after future changes in V6.1 before the public release - Again, very sorry for accusing you of anything! ;)

Secondly, I've sent the sample app to both support and your email address directly, under the subject 'DGV Sort Null ref exception sample'. I wasn't very clear in my initial comment - I was saying that calling sort (from anywhere, not the sorted event) throws a null ref exception if the grid is not currently part of the Controls collection. That is what I deduced from my actual VWG application. However, on reproducing, I discovered it only occurs if the DataSource is set, then sort called, all while the grid is not part of the Controls collection. The sample app demostrates this.
