Hello,
Well it worked out to having everything I needed in my bin directory and dealing with permissions. Nothing VWG related, so running a VWG app (using the *.ashx extension) works just fine.
It works, and I couldn't be more pleased, both with the hosting service and how easily the Gizmox apps fit in without a problem.
As far as permissions, GoDaddy had a problem when I tried to load Oracle and DB2 access libs. No problem since this app targets MySql.
I also have a permission problem with a 3rd party ASP.NET control. I will take this up with GoDaddy.
My other problem is static events, I want to make sure that only the client that initiated the event sees them. I opened a separate thread for this problem (www.visualwebgui.com/Developers/Forums/tabid/364/forumid/-1/threadid/37426/scope/posts/Default.aspx).
So I think the bottom line is that any hosting site that supports ASP.NET and IIS will have little problem running a VWG app on it. All in all it was a good experience.
If you would like to see my VWG app, you can go to www.kennware.com, click on the Engage menu item, and click on the link to the sample application.
Thanks, for everyone's help.
Regards, Kenn
