** v6.4 Beta 1c: OpenFileDialog - Files.Count always 0 **

In my program developed using VWG v6.4 Beta 1c and VS.NET 2005, OpenFileDialog returns the correct OpenFileDialog.Files.Count both in FileOK and Close event handlers in the development machine. However it always returns zero when deployed in the IIS webserver.

Any one has the same problem?

Hi mojojojo,

Thank you for reporting this. I did see no difference between deploying to IIS or running within Visual Studio dev environment, but I was able to reproduce the problem you describe and opened a new issue on the subject which you can track here.

Re: ** v6.4 Beta 1c: OpenFileDialog - Files.Count always 0 **

Hi Palli,

Sorry for the re-posting.

In fact the issue was fixed once I grant write access right at the web server for the authenticated users on the .NET temp file folder:

C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files\XXX

where XXX is the website name

I think the only improvement required is the returning of an informative error message rather than simply returning Files.Count = 0.

Thanks.

Re: ** v6.4 Beta 1c: OpenFileDialog - Files.Count always 0 **

Hi,

No problem with the reposting this time, as I was the one handling both of the threads. We just try to minimize the chance of a second support team member spending time on a problem that has just been handled by another.

Anyway, the issue I reported last night was fixed in Beta2 this morning. It is not completely fixed as you can see in the issue, which I reopeded earlier today.

Thanks for the extra information though.

Palli
