Re: WIKI died?

Hi,

Welcome to Visual WebGui

We are sorry for the inconvenience and we are aware of the Wiki problems and they will be fixed as soon as possible. The KB has all the same ingredients as the wiki has, and much more, so you may want to turn to the KB here.

Re: WIKI died?

 Hi,

Thanks for the reply, I searched the KB too but, for me (I am very new to this stuff) a lot of things are unclear, and I miss a concreate documentation about the product.

Searching the forums and KB is like searching a needle in the haystack.

Re: WIKI died?

Hi,

The basic idea with Visual WebGui is that it is very similar to Windows Forms programming. If you haven't done any of that, then this doesn't say much and in that case you will get better documentation by going to the MSDN site.

There are a few areas that are not working fully like Windows Forms though. Some have still to be implemented, some are not by design. You can get a brief overview of the major differences by reading this article here.

In addition, there are quite a few basic video demonstrations on the KB that should give you some idea on how it works. Many of them are quire old, meaning they are for an older version of Visual WebGui, but they should give you the basic idea.

Hope this explains,

Palli

Re: WIKI died?

 Thanks Palli

I slowly collects the bits of information.

Sometimes thinking about a new technology that it is like a the old knowing one is a big error. Because THERE ARE differences which are easily forgotten because that similarity.

But as far as I see now I like it soo much.

Just cannot decide beween .NETHTML5 and WebGui.

I know it is a API level compatible stuff now, but I am  interested in stability and availibility in the next 3-6 month. I have an urgent project right now to start. And I thinking about this technology as a perfet candidate and a good pilot project.

And I don't know nothing about licensing. (NETHTLM5 is a free preview but it will expire like a trial.) I don't know how it can be bought, if even.
