The downloads doesn't work

I tried downloading the ExpressStudio WinWeb and .NETHTML5 and the ProStudio versions of the same.

after the downloads are complete, when i try to unzip the installer, i get an error.

I am using 7z on a Windows 7 professional. please let me know if I am doing something not right.....

Thanks,

Vikram

Re: The downloads doesn't work

Hi Vikram

I've never used 7z so wouldn't know if it would extract zipped  files from Gizmox, have you tried right-clicking your downloaded file and selecting "open with" "windows explorer" so that it doesn't try to use 7z to decompress it

cheers james

Re: The downloads doesn't work

 Hi Vikram

Welcome to Visual WebGui

7Zip works fine for all our zip files, and I use it all the time for both zipping and unzipping. Great app by the way.

Could you please be a bit more specific on the exact file(s) you downloaded, meaning I need to know if it is 6.4 or 6.3 and for what version of Visual Studio?

As far as I best know, we have not had any other complaints, so I would suspect a corrupt download at your end, for whatever reason. You may want to press Ctrl-F5 for a refresh before you try again and if it still seems corrupt, please let us know.

Re: The downloads doesn't work

 Hello Palli,

I downloaded the ProStudio .NETHTML5  version: 6.4.0 beta 3.

i tried downloading the ExpressStudio .NETHTML5 version 6.4.0d, had the same error when i tried to extract the downloaded zip file.

I am working on a Windows 7 Professional machine and I intend to use this tool with Visual Studio 2010 Professional.

I downloaded these using the browser Chrome and again using IE. even tried using WinZip to extract the downloads.

Please let me know if I need to change any of the settings to get this working.

Re: The downloads doesn't work

 Hi vikram

I just downloaded both the With and Without sources packages for NET4.0 Professional Studio .NETHTML5 Beta3 and unzipped them with 7Zip and there was no problem.

To make it absolutely certain that we are talking about the exact same links, I used the following links:

Also, to make it absolutely certain that I am focusing on the correct problem, then it was my understanding that after the download, you tried to unzip it via 7Zip and then you got an error, correct ?

The most likely cause of your problem is a badly cached copy of these files somewhere between you and the storage provider where we store the uploads. This could be on your own machine, this could be on a proxy you use to access the internet or this could be on some other caching medium at your ISP or some medium between you and the host. You can rule out your own machine by trying to download on another machine. If you are able to download without going through the proxy, you can rule out the proxy etc.

If all fails, I may be able to upload a special copy of the exact file you need to download, so you can try again using a different path.
