Re: Installer Bug - Sources Remain

Hello Ryan,

There are a few things I need you to check please, so let's go:
1. Do the directories in the Sources directory actually still contain source files or only bin directories with assemblies inside?
2. Go to 'C:\Windows\assembly'. Open the properties for the "Gizmox.WebGUI.Common" assembly. Write down the date you see there. Open the properties for the "Gizomx.WebGUI.Forms" assembly, Write down the date you see there. Reply to tell me if the dates (not the time) are different or not.
3. Go to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\.NETFramework\AssemblyFolders" in your registry and see if you can find a Gizmox or VisuaWebGUI key there. If you find it, please specify the value.

Please now uninstall all VWG versions from your machine.
Remove the contents of your Sources directory inclusing the Sources directory itself.
Remove all Gizomx.WebGUI assemblies that remain in your GAC.
Remove the registry key you may have found in section 3.
Install VWG v6.3.6a (or what ever VWG version you need to have) and notice when you get the the finish screen if you get any warning or message saying the installation ended prematurely or anything that would indicate it did not succeed.

Please reply with the details I asked of you. It is very important that we have them to fix this problem and make sure it never reoccurs, for any VWG developer.

Regards,

Ori Cohen
Support Manager, the Visual WebGui team
