Hello,
I would like to correct my last statement.
Recently after writing my last post to you, I found that there were two general types of a MS Visual Studio Express 2008 that behave differently with a Visual WebGui installation:
1.
MS Visual C# 2008 / MS Visual Basic 2008 - in those types of Visual Studio installations, installing Visual WebGui Express Studio would install the Registry keys and values, install the relevant files in their path, install the Visual WebGui assemblies into the GAC and also create the start menu.
What would not get installed are: The Visual WebGui project and item temples, the MS Visual Studio - Visual WebGui integration, and the Visual WebGui help.
The reason those component are not installed, is that those types of MS Visual Studio installations do not support installing those types of exprenal components into them.
2.
MS Visual WebDeveloper Express 2008 - in this type of Visual Studio installation, all our components are installed successfully, when installing the Visual WebGui Express Studio.
I hope this helps in clearing things up.
