Re: Need help wrapping the Winthusiasm.HtmlEditor

I just resent it, I renamed the attached file that contains the sample project from editor.zip to editor.txt in case it was being filtered by the email system.  Thanks!

Mike

Re: Need help wrapping the Winthusiasm.HtmlEditor

Hi Mike,

There is still no email in the mailbox. Please make sure you send to the correct email address, which you can find in my signature.

Also, you might be exceeding some size limitations on your ISP. You can dramatically decrease the size by opening the project, right click it and perform a Clean. That will erase the DLLs on the bin folder. If you do, you must make sure you include the wrapped control's DLL on a seperate folder, as it is cleaned from the bin folder too. After that, rezip your project and rename the .zip extension to something else than .txt as that file extension might be junked as it is a .txt file with binary data. We often use .xip.

Please post here when you have resent.

Hi Mike,

Yes, this one made it through in two copies, both "Re:" and "FW:". We will process your request at the first available time.

Re: Need help wrapping the Winthusiasm.HtmlEditor

Hi Mike,

I have now been able to review your sample. I did have to do some changes to web.config, because of versioning issues for System.Web.Extensions. I don't remember the reason for every change I made, but most of them is related to version reference conflicts that only came to light when I added another wrapped control into the sample. I felt I needed to add that control, as we have been working on it before to test the wrapper. Nothing of these changes did affect how you did things. I think you did everything as you should have. I only write it here if you later want to review the changes I made, so you can possibly include them in some future project where you do have these conflicts I had.

The results of my were not to my liking. I had already tested the FreeTextBox control on a codebase after 6.4.0Beta1c was out and it was working. It is obvious that something has changed, so I opened a new issue on the subject which you can track here.

Thanks for the application,

Palli
