Hi Steve,
You might find the NumericUpDown control useful for currency editting.

I'm not sure how that would be a pleasant experience for the end user ;)

Any real world solutions out there?

Hello,

If I understand your needs correctly, we currently don't have a control as the one you are requesting.

I saw and read a little about the WebDateTimeEdit control by Infragistics.

We have a few controls that are actually wrappers for controls made by other companies like Janus and DevExpress that were originally created in ASP.NET.

We would really appreciate it if you could create a custom control that would wrap the Infragistics WebDateTimeEdit control that you are referring to, by working with the live wrapping examples available at the following VWG SVN path: "http://72.55.165.182/svn/Public/Controls".

You could then upload this wrapper as a code snippet so the whole community could benefit from your efforts, and we would then be able to add it in the future as one of our controls in the SVN repository.

Regards,

Re: Optional DatePicker and Money Controls
I''m afraid that is a little beyond my skill level now... One of the reasons why I find WebGUI so attractive is that it does all that plumbing for me and is so familiar to me as I know more about the webform modal.

But, I guess you have answered my question from the point of view of the WebGUI staff. There is no built-in support for a very commonly needed control such as a money control. Very disappointing...

Re: Optional DatePicker and Money Controls
I looked at the code and really not be familiar with the other 3rd party controls it didn't make much sense.

Do you have any documentation on how to wrap up 3rd party controls, a step-by-step guide. Or better yet, maybe a video that you could do? This would be extremely helpful. The quick start guides are extremely helpful given the lack of documentation for your product.
