Getting ASP Error Reporting to work
Hi.

I am using Visual WebGUI 5.82.9 for .NET 3.5 with VS 2008.

When a runtime error occurs, I get the following error message:

"The UTF8 string passed in could not be converted to Unicode.".

The problem is that no matter what runtime error occurs, I get the same message. So I have
no way to see what exactly was the real problem.

Is there a setting I need to define to enable proper unhandled exception reporting so I can see the
real error message or is this a bug in Visual WebGUI.

P.S. Thanks for a great product.

Regards

Rouan

Hi,
welcome to our community.
I don't know what is the problem that you’re getting, but that version is part of our history.
Why don't you try using version 6.1.2?
Much better then the version you’re using
Hope this helps.
Eyal Albert,

Hi Eyal.

Thanks. I don't know how IU downloaded the old version :).

I downloaded the version 6.1.2 and error reporting works perfect.

Thanks for the quick reply. I really appreciate it.
