Compile customer Forms.dll

hi all,

Has anyone on this thread have experience compiling a custom gizmox.forms.dll? I have been trying this for a two days now . As a basic test I simply changed the Hourglass.gif to a custom gif and the compile of the dll it self gives no problems but i think for some reason the registered dll is not being updated (since is stil get the default hourglass.gif)? I get this 'funny' message when i run the entire solution saying that the gizmox.forms.dll is optimized or without debug and then it shows the windows\assembly\ location? I basiclly add the gizmox forms source code to our existing solution and have our custom webgui library point to this project instead of the assembly dll.

Again any steps or info on this is very much appreciated

Daniel

Re: Compile customer Forms.dll

Hi Daniel,

As you can see from my reply in your other thread, the chaning of Hourglass.gif should be done via a new theme, not a modified Gizmox.WebGUI.Forms.

In order to see if your changes to Gizmox.WebGUI.Forms will get through to your application try changing something else, like adding a property to one of the controls or something like that. You will also need to be using VWG with sources installation (or the SDK), not the one Without sources. To see how to work with Visual WebGUI sources, see this article here.
