License Transfer to New Machine
Modified By kdahlstedt on 2/3/2010 11:28:46 AM)

Hi,

I am not sure this is the right place for this but here it goes. I recently had to build a new machine for one of my developers because the other one crashed and when I started Visual Studio it told me my licensing has expired. So when I tried to activate the license it told me I had exceeded the number I licenses I purchased – I expected this. When I logged in to Gizmox I found where I could see how many licenses I have but I could not find how to do anything with them.  How do I transfer the license from the old machine to the new one?

Thank you,

Keith

Re: License Transfer to New Machine

Hi Keith,

Please, send an email to the support mailbox (you'll find the support email address in my signature below). Include in this e-mail your license code (not key) that you can find in this page here (once logged-in to the VWG website) + the full name of the machine on which you wish to transfer from. You will need to include a statement that you are transfering the license to a new computer, just like you told us in the post in this thread.

Please have this as the subject of the e-mail you send "Re: Need to transfer a license - LICENSING" and also include a full reference to this thread in your email.

Re: License Transfer to New Machine

Hi x893.00,

As I understand the license agreement, then even trying would be breaking the agreement.

Please see my response to Keith in this thread, which details the procedure you need to follow,

Palli
