Try running through the cache cleaning procedure here. For starters, you might want to try increasing just the private version and see if that fixes your problem. If not, run through the whole process.
Visual WebGui is very sensitive to caching issues, so make sure you do this every time you update Visual WebGui or when you change something in your custom controls local resources, like javascript. This is also a good option to try if you have strange problems that you don't understand. If it's just cache, nobody will understand them anyway
