Re: IIS
Hi Bas !

You could argue about that forever :-)

Version 6.1.x has been there longer and it has had more stabilization releases so in that sense it is more likely that it's more stable than 6.2.x.

However, the VWG team is doing a great job in adding new features to each and every relase and that makes the new release "more stable" in that sense. The second stabilization release for 6.2 will be out any day now, so it's getting mature too.

Generally, while VWG is being developed as rapidly as it is, new major releases will be introducing new features, but it will inevitabely be introducing some new bugs too. One way of being reasonably comfortable is letting a major release come out and then wait for 1 or 2 stabilization releases and then go for that release.

Currently we are at that point in time. When 6.2.2 is out, the 6.2 version has it's second stabilization release, and so it should be a quite safe choice. So yes, I would go for 6.2 for my next project.

Re: IIS

Hello Palli,

Sorry to bother you again, I wonder if there is a link describing the following

Method 'HandleThreadException' in type 'Gizmox.WebGUI.Server.Context' from assembly 'Gizmox.WebGUI.Server, Version=3.0.5701.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=3de6eb684226c24d' does not have an implementation.

I am using VMG 6.2 with .Net 3.5, it was working before, and I did all the mapping and defaults in the IIS., and checked the properties of the project build and web settings and all seem to be ok, yet I get this, the server is refrenced and the project was VWGui enabled.

thanks.

Bas

Re: IIS
No problem !

Actually, there are threads for this :-)

Take a look at THIS and THIS

Seems to be either caching issues or referencing old assemblies.
