Latest code in SVN doesn't compile

I got latest revision 11055 from http://72.55.165.182/svn/Public/Core/trunk/Gizmox.WebGUI.Forms

yet there are compile errors such as WGTags.Literal not found. I checked the file "Gizmox.WebGUI.Assemblies\bin\3.5\Gizmox.WebGUI.Common.dll" and found the class WGTags but not the member Literal.

Hello,

Welcome to Visual WebGui.

Later today a Nightly Build process will be initiated. This process sychronises the public part of our code with the private part of our code.
They this happens is that our public code contains compiled and obfuscated assemblies of private code projects.
The public code changes whenever someone in the VWG developent team commits a change into the SVN. changes to the DLLs I told you about happen only when I run the Nightly Build process.

In between, the public and private code become unsynchronized and can cause compilatin errors like the one you experienced.
Gizmox.WebGUI.Common is one of our private code projects.

Please update your code in a couple of hours, and reply if you still get error at complilation.

Regards,

Ori Cohen

Re: Latest code in SVN doesn't compile

Hi,

Great !

Thanks for confirming. Please note that by using the trunk version you run the risk of having problems like this because of those "out of sync" commits to that branch, like Ori described. It is not guaranteed to be compilable at all times.

Re: Latest code in SVN doesn't compile

Hi,

I have started using the sources from SVN as I cannot always wait for the next release for critical fixes. How will I know when its safe to do an SVN update, as currently the sources will not compile (probably related to the out of sync issue listed above)?

Regards,

Kurt
