Ok, then it beats me!

Could there be anything in the VPC setup that prevents remote connections, or are you maybe running IE locally on the VPC to access the IIS on the same machine ?

Got it working. I had to allow "All unknown ISAPI extensions" in the "Web Service Extensions" node in IIS.

Probably I have to register the ISAPI extension wgx somewhere.
