Unable to create an instance of the Gizmox.WebGUI.Installers.Templates.TemplatesInstaller

I am trying to install

Gizmox.WebGUI.SDK.Catalog.5.82.9_NET11

under Windows 2000. I have a 1 GHz Pentium 4 with 2 GB RAM and plenty of hard drive space.

The installation seems to be proceeding, but then I get the following error message:

Unable to create an instance of the Gizmox.WebGUI.Installers.Templates.TemplatesInstaller installer type.
--> Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.
--> Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

I really have no idea what needs to be changed to make this work. Maybe there is some prerequisite which I don't have installed? I don't see a "Requirements" spec for this product.

Can anyone make a suggestion?

Hi,

I seems that the exception you are getting does not have to do with your computer hardware.
First, I would suggest that you'll try to install VWG 84.2 that is much more developed.
Second, check that you are running installation with Administrator rights.

Hi Ralph,

If you want to uninstall VWG you can do that through a right click on the VWG MSI file and choose uninstall.
Its very important that the VWG community installer will match the version of framework that is installed on your machine.

I am receiving the same error attempting to install on Win3K. I went all the way up to build 6.0.4. Is VWG even supposed to be compatible with Win3K??
