Signature pads

Has anyone had any experiences regarding attaching an electronic signature pad to VWG? If so, can you share any details as to how you set it up.

Thanks,
Mike

Re: Signature pads

Hi Mike -

Your best bet is to find a DHTML/Flash version that you like... and then VWG can automatically create a VWG Wrapper for it.  That's what I'd recommend.  Do you know of any DHTML/Flash examples that you're looking to match?

Ryan

PS. Your other option is to create a Custom Control; however, that involves a lot more work calling the VWG server, etc.  I'd stick with wrapping an existing solution.

PPS.  I owned a Tablet PC for 4-5 years.  Never used the signature stuff, except for rare times when I'd have someone sign a Word/PDF file.  Just bought a new laptop... only $825 for the top of the line!  No pen/tablet, but then again - I never used it.  ; )

Have you found any external control that you could wrap in VWG for this process?

I have found an ActiveX control that would work. So how do I wrap this?

Re: Signature pads

Hi,

You can not wrap an ActiveX control with the ASP.NET wrapper. We have a code sample using client side ActiveX control here.
