Different performance of Chrome/IE/Firefox

 Hi,

i've done a little test Form where there are 40 "input" textbox and 20 "output" textbox which show the result of a dummy computation. This computation does start every time the event Validated of a TextBox fire, the purpose of this is to force the change a 20 textbox at the same time in order to stress a little VWG and see how it behave. Doing some little manual tests i've noticed that there are very different performance between Chrome 19, IE 9 and Firefox 11.0. Firefox is the fastes of the three, Chrome instead is very very slow compared to the other two.

Are you aware of this difference?

Ps. i've sent an email at support with a zip containing the sample.

Re: Different performance of Chrome/IE/Firefox

 Hi Nicola,

We are aware of some of those differences between browsers, especially for the WinWeb version, which you most likely are using.

Testing the similar application on .NETHTML5 version will make Chrome and FireFox shine in performance, especially Chrome.

I forwarded your question to people here that know more about the performance and performance differences and they will respond here very soon, hopefully today.

Re: Different performance of Chrome/IE/Firefox

Hello Nicola,

Perhaps you can register to the TextChanged event of the TextBox.
Please clean the application solution in Visual Studio, compress and send us your application to: support [at] VisualWebGui [dot] com, with a link to this forum thread.
We will check, and if we find a bug of inconsistent behaviour of the Validating event of the TextBox, a new task entry will be created and followed by the fix of the bug.

Regards,

Ori Cohen
