Deployment to IIS 7
Modified By egirardi on 1/5/2010 7:05:52 AM)

Hi, I deployed my app to Server 2008 // IIS 7.

According to your Article on deploying VWG apps to IIS7 - it says to "Select Classic.Net AppPool" and ".Net Framework version 2.0".

I am a bit confused on this as I installed VWG for .NET 3.5 on my development machine.  Why would we not choose .NET 3.5 on the server ?  Are there any performance implications of choosing Classic.Net 2.0 ?

Re: Deployment to IIS 7

Hi egirardi,

For your .NET 3.5 question, I think you'll get all the answers you need here.

About your application pool selection, please see this article here. And on how to configure a Visual WebGui application to use the Integrated application pool mode (DefaultAppPool) see this article here. Both of these links were just added to the Wiki deployment page here.

Hope this helps,

Palli
