I have a fairly complex form (banner, tabs, splitters in tab pages, datagridviews in the splitters). I can design fine, but when I switch to code view, switching back causes an error indicating "the designer loader did not provide a root component but has not indicated why". Also, it says that "there is no stack trace or error line information available for this error".

I can close the designer and re-open it, after which the error goes away. Switching to code view, though, makes it recur when I switch back to designer view.

Known issue?

I don't believe so. I can reproduce this problem while not making any code changes.

This is a different problem that the other thread. To reproduce this, all I need to do is have both the designer and code up in separate tabs, switch from designer to code then back again. The error appears immediately.

I can send that form to you for you to attempt duplication of the problem if needed.
