Is there anyway VWG-6891 can be moved to 6.4?

A datagrid without full edit capabilities severely limits its use.

As far as the developers tell me, then the DataGridView’s EditMode feature contains several problematic issues in matter of client - server design and that is the reason why this issue was scheduled to version 7.0. This means that it is not feasible to reschedule that particular issue as a whole to 6.4.

What we are willing to do however, is taking a closer look as some specific issues with the DataGridView editing that you are having problems with and if they prove to be more easy to solve than the whole issue, then it may be possible to create a new issue on that and schedule to 6.4.

Please comment on the specifics of your problems here, preferably with a sample application and we'll evaluate your request.

It causes me problems as well, having to potentially retype the first character of every cell you are editing in a DGV does not give a good end user exerience.

The end user experience is what indirectly sells Wegbui so it is important to get this right.
