SplitterDistance error in 6.4d

 Hello everybody,

I recently upgraded my solution (VS2010, .NET 4) to version 6.4d from 6.4c (May 2011). I immediately noticed the following problem: in some cases. when I try to set programmatically the splitterdistance of a splitcontainer control to some value I get an exception saying that the splitterdistance must be between the maximum width minus the size of panel2 (which of course makes sense! ). Using debugging statements I found out that at the time I am trying to set the splitterdistance, the container and panel sizes are indeed problematic, and this is why the exception occurs. In a certain case, the container size was even negative! This was not happening in 6.4c. Is there something i'm missing? Has the implementation changed and I need to set this splitterdistance at a later point in my code? I used to set it in a property, I also tried in the Load event but the problem persists.

All the best,

Alex

Re: SplitterDistance error in 6.4d

 Hi Alex,

I am unaware of any change that might cause this behaviour and as far as I best know, you are the first one to report it.

Can you create a minimal reproducing application that demonstrates this behaviour so I can take a closer look and see if there are any details missing. Please email the application to the support email address (see my signature) and please remember to include in that email the full Http reference to this thread, as well as adding a post here on the thread when you have sent the email.

Palli
