Testing against MS Windows Forms, we found that the calendar there shows the entire month but does not allow selection of days outside the min-max boundries.
VWG-6699 represents something new we need to implement into the DateTimePicker control. As a result we decided to schedule this entry to v6.4.1.
If you like, we do have a prioritization service you can use to request that we address this implementation within v6.4.0.
