• Windows Server 2008 R2 - 64 bit
• IIS 7.5
• .NET 4.0
• Visual Studio 2010
• VWG 6.4 (licensed)

  A checklist or sequence of screenshots for this configuration would be helpful...

A few things that I did to make it work on a similar setup : 

- Add the WGX mapping to the root object in your IIS management  console - I.E the computer/machine itself.

- After that, try removing the website/application from IIS management console and readding it.
