Re: Genius Code - Next Episode?

Hi Rudi -

We're glad you like our GeniusCode episodes!

We've been swamped lately.  We are ripping apart our two VWG/LLBLGen frameworks (developed independently) and completely rewriting & combining them into one codebase - The GeniusCode Framework.

We hope you & everyone else will like it!  Far too much to explain.  But we hope to do another episode sometime soon; 3 weeks at the latest.  We just have so many new bursting topics in development - it's hard to decide which ones to do it on!

We're here - believe me.  And more episodes will be coming.  Thanks for letting us know!

Ryan

Re: Genius Code - Next Episode?

 Sounds great Ryan,

this might be a long shot, but any possibility of creating C# version of the URL Component?

i'm having trouble with the conversion, i converted it successfully but then upgraded to VWG 6.4P2 which broke it completely.

...

Just a question regarding the GeniusCode Framework..... will that be dependent on buying LLBLGen (not really familiar with it)?

Rudi

Re: Genius Code - Next Episode?

Hi Rudi,

Ryan and I put together a video where we explore Linq.  There is no WebGui here, but the underlying technology here is still quite impressive.  And of course, since we're using Windows Forms, transitioning to VWG should be easy.

Yes, our framework will require LLBLGen.  However, we think you will really love llblgen once you use it.

As for a c# conversion of the URL Component, there are a few options of online code converters, and we have our hands full at the moment.  If you have any problems, we'll try to help you step through the.

Re: Genius Code - Next Episode?

 Hi Jeremiah,

I get an error when i try to view the video, "Video not found or access denied".

yip, i have been using online converters but i think there might be a .net of vwg version difference, what version of .NET and VWG was used to create the URL Component Project?
