Re: Genius Code - Next Episode?

Hi Rudi -

The URL Component project was created using Visual Studio 2008 and VWG Professional Studio.  If you're having problems converting the project - here's what you can do:

  • Simply create a new VWG Application in C#
  • Convert all the files from my URL project to C# (except stuff like /bin, /obj, /MyProject, etc.).  Best Converter Here.
  • Simply add/import the C# versions into your new project.  Done!

You might want to play with the namespaces.  Hope this helps!

Re: Genius Code - Next Episode?

Hi,

I know this is actually a seperate discussion, but i'm unable to place a comment on geniuscode, it just doesn't save.

I successfully converted the url component and timed textbox source to c#, and to vwg 6.2.4 and it works perfectly.

When i upgrade the converted project to vwg 6.4 p2 i get an error that says Gizmox.Webgui.Forms.Component does not

contain a definition for Guid, wherever "this.Guid" is stated.

have you tried these demos on 6.4 or is there a workaround?

Rudi

Re: Genius Code - Next Episode?

 Hi Rudi,

We fixed the problem with the site - dotnetnuke didn't like having 2 seperate feedback modules on the same page .  You can now leave feedback on the video.
