Cannot upload a second picture

When trying to use an openfiledialog twice I get message about a file locked by another process

I have sent a sample app to your support mail

reproduced in the leated 6.4.0 D QA 12 and prior.

Re: Cannot upload a second picture

Hi there - what a coincidence!!

I've had a similar problem today but i thought it was down to some IIS setting\property

I can upload as many files as I like from my dev machine (one at a time by design - not tried multiple uploads actually)

but when deployed to the server on the second upload attempt the openfiledialog reports zero as the file count

If i stop and restart the app pool it will allow for another upload though - so i figured it was something to do with open filehandles but got distracted before i could investigate further (latest beta JQT version)

cheers james

Re: Cannot upload a second picture

Hi Martin,

Please check if the email was sent sucessfully, as I can find no traces of it in the support mailbox.

Further on the problem, would your application by any chance being run in medium trust? If so, take a look at this tracker entry here.

Hi James,

Thanks for the update. Please take a look at my response to Martin and also check the tracker entry I referenced, should you be using medium trust hosting.

Re: Cannot upload a second picture

 Hi Palli,

I already tried adding the <provders> settings to the web.config but it didn't fix the problem unfortunalely

The server in question is on our own network - so intranet  (not an hosting service like GoDaddy) but the problem persists when accessed from it's external url as I just tried from home too

I was going to test the other suggested workaraound on the linked issue (always call .Close on the filehandle) \but like i mentioned got distracted, I will test further though and try installing on a different server that I know has previously allowed multiple uploads and let you know the results to see if it is an IIS related setting that is causing the problem

cheers james
