wrong listview parsing with <> and QA7 JQT

If you have a column that shows the value '<unknown>' the column of that ListView stays empty.

I guess there is some wrong parsing because if you put '<unknown>' it's showing correct.

Is there a way to resolve this quickly?

Best regards,

Tom

Re: wrong listview parsing with <> and QA7 JQT

Hi Tom,

I can confirm this in the version you are using and it is still a problem in the latest JQT QA version. I tried to find a quick workaround but was not able to find one, except for the one you already suggested with the "<".

I did however realize that this less than sign has bad effects quite widely, not just for Visual WebGui, as I was simply unable to create the tracker entry in Gemini without using the < symbolization.

I did open a tracker entry on the subject though. Please view it here and follow up on our progress.

Re: wrong listview parsing with <> and QA7 JQT

Thanks Palli, i saw it's allready resolved.

Is it possible that there will come a new JQT beta version this week. The latest one i have is Visual WebGui v6.4 Release JQT Beta3 QA07 from 11 november.

This one is quite important for us so it would be great if we could take it into our deployment for next weekend.

Re: wrong listview parsing with <> and QA7 JQT

Hi Tom,

QA07 is the last build we have for NET2.0 and NET3.5.

If you are using NET4.0, I may be able to get you a more recent QA version. Would that help?

No sorry we are still on VS2008. We are planning to move to 2010 at the end of this year.
