Re: VWG 6.4 Timer

Hi egirardi,

Thanks for the info.

Can you confirm if the timer stops firing only after you try to show the first popup, or if it's stopping is not depending on if you have shown a popup or a dialog ?

The first popup always happens - then i close the popup window. the timer is still running - i never disabled it or sent it the .Stop() command.

But it does not reenter the timer event unless i minimize the browser window and maximize it again.

I have my interval set to 15 seconds for testing - so after closing the popup - it should pop up the window again at the next interval - but it does not on its own after the first time.

Re: VWG 6.4 Timer

Hi egirardi,

Yeah, I was afraid of that was the case, as then you most likely have the same problem as we already have reported here.

The bad news is that this one isn't scheduled to be fixed until version 7, so there might be a while.

I'll take a second look at it and see if I can come up with some workaround for you.

I'll report back here when I have some more information. Don't expect it today though.

Re: VWG 6.4 Timer

Hi egirardi,

Turns out that I may need some kind of a sample application after all, as the tracker entry I referenced before has been indirectly fixed during some other fixes in 6.4.0 Release d, so I closed that one down. I did thorough tests on multiple versions of the framework, including JQT and WinWeb, as well as many browsers, and it's fixed alright.

This means that I am unable to reproduce your problem. I even made some changes to the sample application(s) in that tracker entry and had it show Popup on Timer.Tick, but still, the timer fires just like it should.

Please see if you can narrow the problem down to a manageable application that you are able to email to support.
