VWG Mobile Preview

Hello,

I just downloaded the VWG Mobile Preview from the link posted on a LinkedIn group: http://www.visualwebgui.com/OpenLink.aspx?linkid=445.

When I installed it and tried to create a quick sample app, I am getting nothing in the browser. I simply used a few controls on a form and tried to run it.

I even reinstalled VWG Mobile twice... I m using VS2010 and .NET 4.0.

Anything else I am missing?

Hello -C,

Please view this page here:

Look at the "User Guide" there for example.

Re: VWG Mobile Preview

Hi Conrad,

I've got it working Ok - I don't suppose  that you are debugging in the VS Default Browser IE are you?

If you are try your localhost\application url in Chrome instead

Cheers james

Re: VWG Mobile Preview

Hi James,

I'm debugging VS in the latest Opera browser (V11.61)... the strange thing is, reading the article on VWG Mobile it talks about 14 controls... I can see all of the controls (55 in total)... and I verified the download and install file... it all says VWG Mobile...

And I uninstalled it and reinstalled it twice now...

Re: VWG Mobile Preview

Hi there

I just tested in opera  11.61 and it does have some faults - the maor one being that the TabControl does not display the tabs - (and the buttons are not coloured in) this s with the iOS theme

try testing in Chrome or Safari - I have found them better than FF 6.0 anyway - more responsive and the theme seems to get better applied

Not that this matter too much - as its down to how it appears on a mobile device really and the display on a PC is somewhat immaterial - although from  adesign point of view.......

Anyway the easiest way i suppose of checking the version is to register the Themes dll then go into the project properties panel - if the IOS theme is available then you are using the mobile version!

cheers james
