Walkthrough

The Visual WebGui extensions need to be registered in the mapping list.

The default Visual WebGui extensions are ".wgx" for the DHTML presentation layer and ".swgx" for the MS Silverlight presentation layer.

As you can see in the screenshot, the 'Executable' is the same one used for the ASP.NET ".aspx" extension: "c:\windows\microsoft.net\framework\v2.0.50727\aspnet_isapi.dll".

You must also make sure that the checkbox "Check that file exists" is unchecked.

A second step that needs to be completed is to set up the ASP.NET version of your Virtual Directory. If you installed ASP.NET before installing IIS on your machine, you will need to run this command from command line: "%windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\version\aspnet_regiis.exe" -i It will register ASP.NET on your IIS.
At this point you need to set up the used ASP.NET version of IIS to .NET2.0 as shown in the below image.
