Visual WebGui News & Announcements

An update to the Visual WebGui CompanionKit was completed last week and it is now matches the Visual WebGui 6.4.0 Release version. The update also includes several enhancements to existing controls and features and the addition of some new ones. Here is a list of the main changes:

• New controls and their code snippets and description articles (live running examples) were added:
  • MaskedTextBox
  • MainMenu
  • TabControl
  • SceduleBox
• A new theme "Office 2010" was added and can be applied via the themes selection tool.
• A form for copying and sharing direct links to the snippet and ZIP packages for C# and VB.NET was added. 
• Auto-completion feature for search phrases was added - after the first 3 letters entered.
• Additional filter for search results was added. Type a text to match and highlight in search results.
• Enhanced search mechanism that works as follows:
  • If search phrase contains comma, space or ';' then results will be matched according to following:
    • the phase will be split by space, comma or ';' to phrase parts
    • the sub-string surrounded by " will be taken to search as is – no splitting
    • there is no meaning to the order of words in the phrase
    • each phrase part matches the documents separately
  • For example: Item, menu, example "how to" Will match the item if: "item" or "menu" or example or "how to" will be found or a substring in content.
• Several controls and their snippets were updated.
