Mark Reed from NetworkD has announced in the Visual WebGui forum (trackback) that his company has shipped a commercial product named iNferno which was developed using the Visual WebGui framework.

As you might have seen our operations is expanding and we are on a tight schedule to come up with a release version and to support our growing customer base and community members. As a result we are looking to expand our development team here in Israel.  If you have experience developing with Visual WebGui and you would like to get paid doing it, we offer you to join our growing family...
MS MVP Rick Strahl wrote in his blog a comprehensive post on his experience with Visual WebGui. Quoting from his post, he says that: "Visual WebGui is intriguing. The Visual WebGui team is working on a new exciting feature, which is the ability to run Silverlight as Visual WebGui's presentation layer. What it actually means, is that developers using  Visual WebGui framework, will have a choice or  have both options, which are the DHTML presentation layer and the Silverlight presentation layer running side by side. It would be very easy to have users automatically routed to the supported presentation layer for their client station...

We have finally released our first version of the Visual WebGui Silverlight SDK CTP.
it is still in an early stage, but it gives you guys the ability to both participate in the designing process and to start testing your applications using the exciting features that Silverlight can offer. We hope it will provide you guys with a clear picture of what we are working on and that when it will be ready for prime time (hopefully in a relatively short period) it helps you provide your customers with extra ordinary applications

Well it is time to raise the bar of the Visual WebGui and Silverlight integration and Silverlight development in general. The new on-line demo which can be found here, provides a very good idea on where we are taking the Silverlight - Visual WebGui combination. We are going for a fully enabled enterprise platform for creating on-line Vista like applications.

The recent changes in the Visual WebGui SDK and the uncertainty in the development directions of Gizmox  and the business model, has raised a lot of concerns and questions. I would like to try and clarify exactly what are our intentions and where is Visual WebGui going to be in the near future.
