The recent changes in the Visual WebGui SDK and the uncertainty in the development directions of Gizmox  and the business model, has raised a lot of concerns and questions. I would like to try and clarify exactly what are our intentions and where is Visual WebGui going to be in the near future.
Visual WebGui over Silverlight version 6.1.1 came out earlier this week. It includes numerous bug fix and new features. Here are the breaking changes and features in that version.

Extensions are libraries which extend the basic behavior of Visual WebGui and provide more capabilities over the standard library. Most of these extensions will be offered under a commercial license in a reasonable price. Some controls like NavigationTabs (outlook tabs) and ScheduleBox have been moved to these extensions. While these controls are commercialized, we will provide the ability for existing community members to receive a free of charge license.

All of the commercial extension will be fully functional within the community installation but will require a license for deployment. This will enable you guys to check out the extensions usability before you actually buy it.

Visual WebGui, for the first time, enables Silverlight development for enterprises, utilizing Windows Forms-like RAD development and a more powerful and secured GUI.
The process of providing ways for community members to actively participate and speed-up development is very important to us. In this “How To” we are going to learn how to use Visual WebGui open source project to create a code patch fixing a bug you have found or a feature you have created and would like to add.

The Enterprise Server beta version 6.1 provides the scaling capabilities & redundancy required in order to store the session state within an external state server that can be either an SQL Server or any state server which is enabled by Microsoft ASP.NET session state.

It is all about simplicity when programming next–generation, complex Asynchronous JavaScript and XML (AJAX) applications. In this webcast, we develop a fully blown AJAX enterprise application by dragging and dropping controls using Windows Forms Designer and the Gizmox Visual WebGui (VWG) framework. We extend, customize, and invoke client resources, and we demonstrate how you can cut your development cycle by as much as 90 percent. Visual WebGui is open source, so you can dive into the code.

In this webcast, we use the Gizmox Visual WebGui framework to "light up" a fully blown, line-of-business application in 20 minutes. We demonstrate how we make Windows Forms (WinForms) controls available for Microsoft Silverlight browser plug-in applications and how you can style your UI by using fully enabled Microsoft Expression Blend design software. The outcome is a Silverlight application with a very light footprint. As a bonus, the application is secured by design with no open ends to protect

Visual WebGui, developed and marketed by Gizmox, is a revolutionary approach to creating DHTML or Microsoft Silverlight applications

Allow me first to thank you all,  your enthusiastic support and feedback really helped us to get to where we are now.

We know there is a lot of work ahead of us in improving our documention; getting Silverlight and our premium products roll out, setting up our commercial support and services and so on, but let me assure you , VWG core team is working hard to get the work done.
