The Visual WebGui team is working on a new exciting feature, which is the ability to run Silverlight as Visual WebGui's presentation layer. What it actually means, is that developers using  Visual WebGui framework, will have a choice or  have both options, which are the DHTML presentation layer and the Silverlight presentation layer running side by side. It would be very easy to have users automatically routed to the supported presentation layer for their client station...

The Visual WebGui site is has been extended to support more dynamic community oriented content. We have opened a resource section in the site which can be accessed from the book icon at the top of every page. This section will contain valuable content that can be published by community members as well. Currently two content types are available which are code sharing and knowledge sharing articles.
Wiktor Zychla has assembled a tiny AJAX framework contest between Visaul WebGui, ASP.NET AJAX and Ajaxium. Comparing a givven scenario he checked bandwidth consumption, requests per second, etc. The results as Wiktor wrote them are: "The VWG is an undoubt winner. It did a great job of serving the highest number of requests per second, 422, and is also a clear winner regarding the amount of data sent to and from the server."
