Hi Guys -

Want to run your VWG Application as a Desktop Application?

Now you can, with the Cassini Desktop Adapter.  No worrying about any WinForms compatibility issues.  Double-click & run, like any Standalone Windows application.

  • No Gizmox/VWG Installation Needed
  • No IIS 6/7 Needed
  • No Cassini Installation Needed

I've used this successfully on Windows XP & Vista, with both Visual Studio 2005 & 2008.

Please see SCREENCAST here.  Hope you enjoy!

Ryan

PS - You don't need to add all those Gizmox DLLs like I did in the video. Just keep the Gizmox DLLs that come referenced in a new VWG project.

Also - there is one security issue yet with Vista. This should be fixed when Vlad from UltiDev releases a Cassini that only listens on localhost (Cassini currently listens on all IPs, and this causes a problem in Vista).
