These 2 projects demonstrate passing parameters to and retrieving parameters from a VisualWebGui application running in a Modal Dialog. This is achieved using a WGAdapter.


The WGAdapter is a primarily client side component that launches a VWG application from another application, in this case, a simple ASP.NET app called Gizmox.WebGUI.Adapters.AspNet.Testing. The adapter is created in the ASP.NET application, which opens the Modal Dialog and launches the VWG application, in this case, Gizmox.WebGUI.Adapters.AspNet.Testing.Site.

This sample code demonstrates how you can integrate printing capabilities into your application in a structured way.



The code presents the IPrintable interface which should be implemented by each control which can be printed within your rendered form. This interface defines the Print method that is responsible for rendering the desired form of HTML suitable for the control. Looping the IPrintable controls in the form and invoking Print() method on each of those controls provides a generic mechanism of rendering and printing the entire form as a unit.

This sample application demonstrates how to use the Forms Authentication, Membership, Roles, and Health Monitoring infrastructure of ASP.NET from a Visual WebGUI application.  Using Forms Authentication, which validates authentication tickets during each request, significantly improves the security of the VWG application over simply controlling access with the Session.IsLoggedOn property.
