Hi,
Please excuse my ignorance, but why are there 2 versions of WebGui (stable and unstable) available for download ?
How do I decide which one to use?
Is the unstable one buggy? if so why is it available before it's completed?
Thanks for any enlightenment
David
Hi David, No question is too small for us J. Each one of our version holds a set of features and bug fix. When we release a version there might be issues and bugs that happened because of what we done and we didn’t discover at the QA time. That is why this version is unstable. Once we release a version we start working on the next one. While working on the next version if any issue accord in the previous version we release a stabilization version that helps stabilize that version. We do this until all issues are solved or the next Major issue is ready. The last stabilization version is the stable version that has no known issues.
If you had an open issue that was holding you back in the development and that issue was solved in the latest unstable version then you probably want to use it. Also if there is a new feature that you want you will need the unstable version.
Issues from unstable version get priority to allow you to overcome problems that hold you back in development.
Hi Eyal,
Thanks for the info, from what you say I understand that the unstable version is the stable version +.
So I'm always best of installing the unstable version?
