Control ClientSize still doesn't work

Is this ever going to work properly? I've found references to this being acknowledged as an issue and that it would be fixed in versions (going all the way back to some 5.8 versions), yet this still appears broken.

I'm trying to get my pictureboxes to reference properly sized thumbnails since there's no StretchWhileMaintainingAspectRatio sizemode setting. But the picturebox is always reporting the same ClientSize.

Hello,

I searched our issue-tracker for "ClientSize" and couldn't find any open issues on with this text.
When I included the closed issues, I got two relevant issues. One with a "cannot reproduce" status and the other with a "complete" status. None of which are generalized to a Control level but to specific controls - TabControl and Form.

Please reply with a link to the issue your are talking about and provide more detail.

I did some more testing and this is what I have found so far. When I place a picturebox or treeview inside a tabcontrol, the clientsize property no longer gets updated when posting back to the server. I've only tested picturebox and treeview so far but I'm going to assume it may happen to other controls too once placed inside a tabcontrol.

I would like to confirm what happyfirst indicated. The "Size" (both Width and Height) property of controls is not dependable if they are placed inside a tabcontrol.
