Drag image from non tree controls broken?

6.2.1

When I drag FROM a treeview, the drag image is valid. When I drag from any other control, it's a broken image. I checked your online demo, and it shows a nice box when dragging from other controls. I downloaded the latest catalog and locally it shows me a broken image when dragging. How do I fix this?

Re: Drag image from non tree controls broken?
Hello,

Beginning with VWG v6.2.0, we modified our XSLT to show the "broken image" as you call it as the default presentation for dragging controls. Specifically for the TreeView and ListView controls, there is a different XSLT that overrides the default one. You can override this default drag presentation yourself if you like, also.

Re: Drag image from non tree controls broken?

Why does the image work for the online catalog then? Is this really true? You're defaulting to a broken image instead of some basic default image? Since it can be customized as you state, why not still offer the default image like what is showing online?

Since the image works in the online catalog, does that mean that it is now a customized version seperate from the catalog version that we can download? So what we demo is not necessarily what we download?

Re: Drag image from non tree controls broken?
Hello,

Our online Catalog is of version VWG v6.1.4 - our official stable version.

You are referring to a change we made in VWG v6.2.0.
This "broken image" as you call it has been decided to be the best solution in the current state of things. If you disagree, please send your comments to support [at] visualwebgui [dot] com with a link to this forum thread, and we will sure take this into account in the future VWG versions.
