could not create the application package, dead in the water

Hi

I just upgraded to 6.1.3 and everything blew up.

I cannot build now. I am running vs2005.

I get the following error

Could not create the application package

Invalid file path has beed inputted (yes it really says beed)

and it list a lot of file such as Gizmox.WebGui.Deployment, tons of files that seem to be missing.

I would upload a screen shot but I cannot copy the windows popup with all of the errors that appear.

It appears to be a problem with the Giszmox Packager.

Any clues?

Thanks in advance

Re: could not create the application package, dead in the water

Hi,

Try this:

Open your app.

In solution explorer select - 'show all files'

Under Project properties (in solution explorer) delete the file: 'Deployment.config'

Build the Solution

This should take care of your problem (the file would be recreated)

Thanks,

Dror Shahak

Re: could not create the application package, dead in the water
ok that worked, now I am trying to add a Gizmox.WebGUI.Silverlight.Controls.Charts component to the form.

It appears in the tool box so I drag it to my Form and I get

Failed to create component Chart
System.Runtime.Interopservices.Comexception 0x800004005) error HRESUKLT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM componenet.

wow I wading in deep, just trying to get a chart going and none of them are without bugs

Re: could not create the application package, dead in the water

Hi,

You shouldn't add Gizmox.WebGUI.Silverlight.Controls.Charts to your project reference but

Gizmox.WebGUI.Forms.Charts.

Thanks,

Noam.
