Open for each IE in a different session

I login in a IE windows/tab, and when I enter in another IE window/tab I don’t need login again because the application automatically assume that we are in same session.

Is possible enter in a different session when enter application in another IE window/tab?

I mean, I want have different sessions of the same application at the same time with different logged user. Is possible? How can I do this?

This is a "limitation" of the browser.

All tabs have the same session. Same in FF. Actually, it's more than that, because if you have two tabs in the browser accessing the same form in the app, then both tabs are actually being updated when one of them is. You need a refresh to the browser to see it, but that's the way it is.

Only way I know of getting another session is opening a new browser window.

I have the same behaviour when I open a new browser window.

Is necessary to do something in code to support different session in different browser windows?

Hi !

This must be some setting in the browser. I tested my app in IE7 and logged onto the app in one window, then opened another window and was required to login there too!

Authentication mode="Main" in web.config.

You'll probably have to wait for Gizmox comments on this too!

Hi Palli,

Weird, It is a known issue with multi-tab browsers that the session between them. The authentication is just another property which is kept within the VWG context which is stored within the current ASP.NET session.

On the other hand, I will be happy to hear that you can configure that :)
