Verismic Software, a Sparxent company, is focused on developing solutions to reduce operational costs, enhance end user experience, and increase efficiency of IT support staff. The Verismic product range contains an array of system management solutions designed to extend system management and service desk capabilities.  The toolset includes solutions such as Password Reset, Desktop and Service Desk integration, Historical Tracking and Power Management.

Verismic Software is precision engineering for systems management. Verismic Power Manager™ is a technical solution for Enterprise PC Power Management.  Verismic Power Manager™ is designed to give advanced control over the PC estate however large or distributed that estate may be. 

Business needs
Green IT initiatives have been gathering pace over the last few years with much focus being on ‘Greening’ the data center.  Analysts such as Gartner and Forrester estimate that over 40% of IT costs come from the power consumption of the PC estate. Verismic realized that most organizations were missing the environmental and cost saving potential of the PC estate and decided to build a dedicated solution to address the needs of PC Power Management to deliver savings of $75 per PC and ROI within 6 months.

The functionality of the solution should provide flexible data analysis for planning and trend identification based on detailed metrics for actual PC usage in the environment. This should be available via a low administration interface that automatically organizes and presents data with an intuitive and easy to use UI available in multiple languages as well as a granular policy creation and control that enables adaption to specific business needs.

It was also important that the system would be web-based and securely accessed from standard web browsers with minimal investments in additional security solutions. The system must be useful for internal IT or managed services and allow fast performance while using data filters and context-sensitive presentation of data even over slow links.

The Solution
Verismic Power Manager™ solution as well as other solutions from Verismic is based on Visual WebGui after the company has been successfully using Visual WebGui for a number of years.
